We contribute positively to the communities in which we operate by supporting food security, education and environmental restoration programmes and encourage everyone to participate in their local community.
The University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and CHEP Automotive are working together to train the next generation of Supply Chain professionals and support CHEP’s customers.
Students from the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne are supported with their Bachelor’s degree in Logistics by CHEP Automotive. As part of their degree, the students have the opportunity to work on a project for CHEP and solve a key problem from CHEP’s customer.
As part of the programme, the students had an induction event in the CHEP offices, had access to a professional trade fair and took part in an onsite workshop. Our CHEP managers and specialists were available for consultation and assisted the students throughout the process to ensure that the students build knowledge and develop problem-solving skills. This experience helps the students to develop a greater understanding of the supply chain business.
CHEP Automotive and Industrial Solutions' Customer Service team organised a cake baking event in the office and, through their fantastic efforts, managed to raise money for a children's cancer aid association, the Kinderkrebshilfe Weseke e.V. The Kinderkrebshilfe Weseke e.V. is a non-profit organisation that supports terminally ill children and adolescents.
The funds raised by CHEP will be used in palliative and hospice care, psychological counselling as well as the acquisition of urgently needed equipment.
