Overview
The 1200mm x 800mm CHEP pallet is a general purpose platform that can be safely used for most applications in the distribution and transportation of goods and products throughout Continental Europe.
To ensure compatibility with different supply chain requirements, pallets are available in three standard sizes.

CHEP recommends a maximum rating of 1000 kgs as a safe working load, and not to exceed 4000 kgs when stacking loaded pallets on a solid surface. Empty pallets can be stored 40 high.
Notes
Materials
Wood: quality timber from a controlled selection of different wood types
Paint: water based, complying with the relevant European legislation
Nails: either standard or stiff stock wire, complying with the European legislation on heavy metal content
Handling
Maximise the use of the pallet surface
Minimise lifting from the undersides of the skids
Rack the pallet across the long side
