New system gives better visibility of pallet deliveries allowing a more effective plan production and operations management
Czech Republic - 13th September 2021 - The pallet pooling leader, CHEP CZ is pleased to announce the launch of its new Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) notification functionality. Building on CHEP’s unrivalled network, scale and market knowledge, this full visibility system automatically sends its customers a message when their delivery has left a CHEP service centre with an estimated time of arrival for their order.
Rolling out to all CHEP’s customers, mainly FMCG producers and manufacturers, in Czech Republic from July 2021, ETA will enable them to track their order from the moment their delivery begins. This means that customers can concentrate on optimizing their supply chain - better planning their production and yard management.
The functionality will be available to all CHEP customers with orders in the standard service (one-way trip). Customers will receive a calculated arrival time – ‘time slot’ notification.
In addition, the functionality will update the status during the delivery trip. The customer can access a link in the CHEP customer portal (myCHEP) in order to track their delivery vehicle on route via GPS.
Frederic Rotrou, Country Lead for CHEP CZ commented: “We have carried out extensive research and regularly engage with our customers to understand their requirements and issues. This has highlighted a critical need for transparency of pallet arrival information, increasingly important in a highly competitive market environment. With the introduction of ETA we aim to enhance the service level we already offer our customers – with further improvements to the functionality already expected later this year.”
