Under its “Zero Harm” strategy CHEP takes health, safety, the environment and human rights into consideration
CHEP works constantly to increase the value it adds to the economy, society and the environment, and makes various investments to reduce the risk of work accidents to its employees and stakeholders under its “Zero Harm” strategy. Economic concerns do not override respect for health and safety, the environment and human rights.
Operating in Turkey since 2009, CHEP optimizes the business processes of the fast-moving consumer goods, food, beverage and retail sectors from start to finish with its supply chain solutions. CHEP aims to minimize the effects on the environment of its products and services for a more sustainable future, and undertakes efforts to increase its added value for the economy, society and the environment every day.
CHEP also believes that everyone deserves to end the day as healthy as they were at its start. Under its “Zero Harm” strategy, CHEP invests in precautionary measures that reduce the risk of work accidents among its employees and stakeholders. All business decisions relating to project development, choice of commercial partners and suppliers and the instigation of new products and services are evaluated in the light of health and safety, the environment and human rights.
“Zero Harm” values and conduct
With its Near-Miss reporting system, CHEP eliminates potential risks to its employees and avoids harming people, their rights and the environment through safe and appropriate business conduct. CHEP values all people equally and encourages all of its employees to show the same respect throughout the supply chain. At the same time CHEP, which respects the environment with its “Zero Harm” strategy, strives to use natural resources more efficiently, minimize waste, and use products and services sustainably. In line with the work of CHEP, high risk areas were identified in 2017 and the frequency of work accidents was reduced by 32 percent compared to the previous year.
