Alejandro Tostado appointed Sustainability & Government Affairs Lead for CHEP Europe
Madrid, 11 January 2022 – CHEP, the supply chain solutions company, has announced the appointment of Alejandro Tostado as Sustainability & Government Affairs Lead for CHEP Europe. Effective from 1 January, Mr Tostado will report to Juan Jose Freijo, Brambles Global Head of Sustainability.
In his new position, Mr Tostado will be responsible for implementing the company’s sustainability strategy and ambition to pioneer regenerative supply chains across Europe. This will involve defining the tools and processes needed to meet CHEP’s 2025 Sustainability targets and incorporating sustainability into the company’s value proposition for customers and suppliers. He will also have Government and Regulatory Affairs responsibilities in the region, with a strong focus on engaging authorities around the company’s contribution to the circular economy.
Alejandro Tostado joined CHEP in 2002 as a Business Analyst and went on to hold a variety of roles within Sales and Business Development. In 2009 he moved to CHEP Iberia to become Regional Accounts Team Manager and in 2011 became their Key Accounts Team Manager. For the past seven years Mr Tostado has been Senior Director, European Key Accounts, where he gained extensive experience in managing and growing customer portfolios, developing CHEP’s customer collaboration strategies and promoting the company’s reputation as an innovative and sustainable company.
