HFSS: Reimagining the supermarket of the future

Re-imagining the food store of the future

The Government introduces new regulations that impact display space for high fat, salt, and sugar (HFSS) food products from October 2022. Other areas of the regulations impacting on HFSS promotions were delayed by the Government in May 2022. The impact on retailers and brands operations, product development and bottom line is sweeping. It requires significant change on the shop floor.

Maximising the opportunity

There are few precedents for this monumental change, few to emulate, and no user guide. Launching a conversation to maximise the HFSS opportunity, our industry discussion paper reveals a collaboration between manufacturers and retailers is crucial. There can be no lone actors in the reimagination of the food store of the future.

You can hear the opinions on HFSS from industry experts in our short videos considering the impact on non-impacted and impacted brands, and also retailers.
